Our $1000 thermostat was 5 years + 6 weeks old; therefore, 6 weeks past the 5-year warranty. And Higgins went to headquarters to see if they’d the honor the warranty and they did. So the only thing owed is the service fee, along with the 10-year warranty on the new thermostat. Great work and communication, and very much appreciated for the savings.
I called Higgins 30 minutes before I needed to be at the closing of my house, as the air conditioning was not running! They immediately sent over the only available employee, parts mgr Seth, who checked the outside control box and found the switch had ‘mysteriously’ been shut to OFF. I would have never known to look for that, and I gave Seth a big hug for saving the day!
