About Southwest Health Center | University of Michigan Health-West

Southwest Health Center | University of Michigan Health-West has shown significant improvement over time. The staff, including nurse practitioners and primary care doctors, are kind, attentive, and efficient. The lab is well-organized, even on busy days, and takes extra care of patients' needs. The healthcare providers, such as Gerrit, Dr. Elderkin, and Dr. Pete, are informative, comforting, and go the extra mile to make patients feel secure and confident. The nurses are extremely helpful and provide guidance and encouragement. The center has received positive reviews for its staff and services. Patients have praised the amazing and compassionate staff, who are patient and treat them with respect, even when communication is slow or confused. The phlebotomist is quick and efficient, and the nurse practitioners are described as outstanding and genuinely listening to patients' needs. However, some patients have experienced issues with communication and treatment, leading to negative outcomes. One patient mentions that Dr. Belsito can sometimes seem cranky, but also notes that he is an excellent doctor, as was his father. The lab has been described as a bit depressing, with no colors or decorations to make it more comfortable, especially for children.

I have been with this office for over 10 years. I enjoy my visits with Tina Haan; she is kind, shows concern for my well-being, and takes excellent care of me. I can request refills and appointments online.

Had an amazing experience with my hopeful new PCP. Due to the incompetent and rude receptionist staff I will absolutely never visit again and have cancelled all future appointments. With how expensive, stressful and crazy life is the last thing people need is to be blown off and spoken to the way I was.

Every single time I HAD to remind them that Norco is on my allergy list! The RN went over my chart in the room while doc was there!?! They give me two injections, one a muscle relaxer and one an...read full review
