About Life Time
Life Time Troy provides a complete fitness and health experience, often called an "athletic country club" with many amenities. It features a large fitness floor, numerous studio classes, basketball courts, eucalyptus steam rooms, and an indoor pool. Members praise the cleanliness and the wide range of amenities, along with friendly and helpful staff. The facility is family-friendly, with a dedicated children's play area and kid-focused classes. The Kids academy is well-liked, with personable staff who focus on children's enjoyment and comfort. Some members mention that the shower-head in the shower room has low pressure, which can take extra time for showers, but overall, people are satisfied with the value and welcoming atmosphere. Many appreciate the great gym equipment, excellent sauna and steam rooms, and the friendly staff, making it a highly recommended place for families and individuals alike.
Updating my review because I feel like the trainers have been much nicer and more aware of their surroundings with clients! Gym is solid — nice cardio equipment, and I rarely find machines broken for more than a week before being fixed. I have found the staff at the front desk and cafe to be SO friendly. Top-tier equipment, spotless facilities, and resort-style amenities like the steam room and sauna make this gym absolutely worth it. The staff does an amazing job constantly cleaning the locker/changing rooms and keeping the facilities spotless. Despite their hard work, some members ruin the experience by leaving towels behind in the steam room and on the floor. There are also some people talking loudly and using their phones in the steam room and showers. Management needs to increase floor monitoring and post clearer signage regarding phone use, shared space etiquette, and child supervision so everyone can enjoy a peaceful experience.
I have been a member of lifetime fitness for years on and off. I decided to sign up again and utilize the daycare now that i have two young kids. I was hesistant and tried out the daycare at Rochester Lifetime which did not work out well with my kids. A mom I met told me to give Troy Kids academy a try as most of the employees are moms and do great with the kids. I gave it a try and cannot be happier. Riley, Stef and really all the employees at the kids academy are exceptional. I never thought my kids would do well there but it has been life changing. I have been utilizing the GTX classes daily now and easily drop my kids to the academy with no hesistation and with confidence...read full review
