They came right in and transformed my house into a beautiful residence from the superb paint job to the extraordinary wood floors. They are professional and hardworking. Stay away! This guy is shady. He started a job for my friend and left, 1/4 of the house painted, took the deposit ($3K) and never heard back from him. A different painter finished his lack of integrity.

Do yourself a BIG favor and look at other review sites of this company, after 12 weeks on a 4 week job we had to let them go, spent most of this summer redoing what they had started. Worst contractor we ever had since they don't have their own crew they relied on subbing out most work so POOR quality and unfinished work seems to be the standard for STP.

I have been painting for 20 years in the Grand Traverse area have not had one complaint I'm honest and I don't steal unlike STP painting STP painting did not fire me I quit because he owed me over $1,000 and made me pay for his truck payment took money out of my paychecks he's a liar and he can't be trusted I have many many people that can back me up he also stoled some of my tools STP has been known to collect money from people and not finish the job is running from the law and running from multiple employees that he had taken advantage of I know at least for people that he has screwed over in the last year alone

My family hired STP for a six week renovation that turned into a six month nightmare. Not only was the job never finished, STP vanished into thin air with our money and the materials we paid for. To add insult to injury, we had to pay someone else to fix the subpar work that STP did perform. I can't imagine how these people sleep at night. Contractors in TC are so busy that you may have to delay your job to hire the right company, but it will be worth the wait. *NOTE: Please notice that many STP reviews are from people with only one or two reviews... that's because the "reviewers" are fictional people--it's STP boosting their score. Beware.***I have never been employed by STP, nor has any of my family or friends. The sole purpose of my review is to warn other folks in hope to prevent future theft and fraud by STP. If this were a fraudulent review, Google would remove it.***

I would just like to step in to say that it was our home that had firearms stolen. ( 6 weeks after they were on site) Eric nor any of his crew were found to be responsible for the break in. STP built a deck and pergola, replaced our house roof, installed siding, replaced our front porch and installed new window in the garage. The work was performed as promised for the price quoted. Eric will be back this summer to handle some interior painting and windows. I dont normally write reviews so that is why I dont have a review history but I am a real customer, giving a legitimate account of my experience. You say check people for Facebook accounts. Not all of us have Facebook or the time to spend on it . Anyone can leave a review of a company and never has to prove they were a customer, Happy or otherwise. Do your homework when chosing a business to do work for you and check facts before you believe everything you hear. Thanks Eric and Leanne for a job well done for us.

Untrustworthy, crazy people... being investigated by grand traverse police for theft of firearms from a home they were working on, leaves there child with babysitters for weeks at a time only coming home 2,3 times a week. Disgusting

NOT ONLY IS THERE WORK BAD!! My father had recently worked for them and he quit. After he quit Eric and my dad were still okay buddy's. I ended up becoming there babysitter! The first time I went to go meet Leanne (Eric's wife) and to meet the kids. I was left with there 2 children for about 3-4 weeks every single day.... FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME I MET HER!! Leanne would come home maybe 2 times maybe 3 times a week. But only for a half hour or so. (Usually to pay me) and I even had to go meet her 15ish minutes away to go get the money as well. With her kids and she would wave say hi mommas gotta go and leave. So fast forward a couple weeks and my boyfriend ended up needing a job so Leanne offered him a job with Eric and he of course took it. (Paid him in cash 17$) she would call and say they were gonna need him in the morning and she would call in the morning to tell him where to go.... so he would wake up early waiting for her to call and she would never call. Then later in the day she would text sorry busy morning tomorrow for days until he got a new job. LET ME JUST ADD AT THIS POINT I HAVE BEEN "living" IN HER HOUSE SINCE THE FIRST DAY I MET HER TAKING CARE OF HER KIDS! I remember one time so clearly that one of her child had a fever of 102 and I was calling and calling asking her if she wanted me to take her to the hospital (shes3) and I even had to go online and find Eric's number thru the companies website because I never met Eric. And was calling him and got no answer from either of them. I finally called my mom because she works at Munson and asked her what do I do because her fever was 103 now so raising. BY THE WAY IM ONLY 17 AT THIS POINT. ONLY 17 YEARS OLD. And then when i finally hear From Leanne she says shes leaving and she will be home in 40 minutes to take her to the doctor. So about an hour later I call her and say where are you. And she says oh I'm in getting in the truck now. And now at this point the children's Medicine has kicked in so her fever was down and when I told her that she said oh okay so I don't need to come. She didn't come till way later in night hourssss later. Lots more happened not gonna say everything fast forward my last couple days. She texted me and asked me why there were charges from her amazon account taking money of her bank. Of course I had no idea and she blamed me for ordering phones and pay cards. She came home and was yelling asking me where the notebook was saying there was a notebook on top of this tall stand and I had never even seen it! My boyfriend goes outside to find she has her Yukon XL or Tahoe XL not sure witch one parked sideways blocking my car into her drive way!! So that I couldnt leave!!! I called my parents and thankfulling they got there quick about 5 minutes for a 15 minute drive lol. they now have child protective services investigating them. And also I was questioned by police about the phones and pay cards and they were investigating the whole Situation and I was questioned once and I never heard anything ever again from no body. Well if that didn't convince you too not go thru STP PAINTING AND REMODELING THEN I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK
