I hired a separate service to remove the old asbestos tile.

Spiro and Sam then came in and ground the old mastic adhesive, filled in any holes from old wall anchors that had been removed, and then laid down a base coat to seal and encapsulate the remaining mastic.

They came back the next day and made it snow with the multicolored flakes which laid atop the base coat from the day before. The texture looked really cool and also conceals lingering floor imperfections.

They then laid down the clear coat to seal in the flakes and create a shiny and textured floor. We paid a little extra and they sprinkled in some multi colored sparkly particles. Looks cool when you walk around. Little rainbow bits of glitter you see but not too much. Delightful!
