I don’t normally write reviews on line, but my experience with the Team of Professionals at the Negaunee Window Outfitters location exceeded our expectations every step of the way. My husband and I worked with Shawn to place our order for the two patio doors, two service doors and two garage to house doors. Shawn visited our home that’s 1.5 hours away two times. He arrived on time, brought samples and materials to help guide our conversation and he took all the time we needed to answer all of our questions. Shawn measured all of the doorways, and he explained what we would expect during the installation. When Shawn was leaving, he made us aware of next steps and what his commitment to us would be going forward. He never disappointed us. In fact, he routinely exceeded our expectations.Our experience with the five installers was very similar with our experience with Shawn. Rudy was the Lead installer. The group quickly got to work. It was obvious to us that each installer was aware of what their respective accountabilities were for the day, and boy did they deliver! Everyone was professional, polite and respectful of our home. At the end of the day, three of the installers cleaned everything up, and they didn’t leave any debris behind. Rudy and Mark remained to talk through the day, answer any questions we had and to inform us that Rudy would return the next day to put the finishing touches on the installations. Rudy returned right on time, and he didn’t leave until all of the doors were working perfectly and got the stamp of approval from my husband and me.We highly recommend Window Outfitters! They stand by what they have published on their website, and our experience validates that 100%.Thank you Shawn, Rudy, Mark, Steve, Mike and The Old Guy (that’s how he introduced himself to us!). We absolutely love our new doors.
Fantastic photographer! My daughter’s Senior pictures are amazing!!! The photoshoot was so much fun and you see that reflected in the final product! 10/10! The studio is super cute, she shoots on location and the final product is amazing!
I have patronized this salon for many years. Its location is a bit off the beaten path, making it somewhat a hidden gem. I have never left the establishment disappointed. You get more than what you pay for.
Jim is the absolute best to work with! His staff is wonderful as well. Our new well was put in swiftly and Jim is always available to answer questions and respond to service needed. We will always recommend Hakala!

They put up the gutters quick and they look awesome. It took a couple of hours and it was complete. They are quick to respond to phone calls and fix any issues that came up.
Delivery driver showed up on time. Communication and estimation with the shop was great. I was doing a DIY driveway pad and let the driver know I hadn't done concrete in a very long time, he was patient and very helpful and laid it down very accurately for me. Made it easier on me!
Great company to deal with. Very knowledgeable employees and the lowboy driver is excellent to deal with!
Had my second massage appointment with Kim today!! I felt like a new person after my appointment, I am already impatiently waiting for my next one!! Kim has been doing this for years and you can tell!!!
Now that we've landed in Negaunee and unpacked most of the boxes, it's well past time to get into a new routine. I had seen Grand Effex salon on my frequent visits to town and I figured I'd keep it local. I phoned in and got an appointment pretty quickly (given the holiday weekend, that was a great surprise). The salon itself is much bigger on the inside, so don't let the front view fool ya. There are a few stations and a cozy waiting area, plus a front counter to check in and/or pay at the end. The salon takes cash and cards (via Square; love-love-love!). The cost for services is so reasonable that I finally feel as if I can afford to branch out and consider some color work. I came in and met Kim Black, another former Minnesota resident. We talked about everything from our cats and our husbands, to neighborhood things and events. Admittedly I didn't bring her much, since I chopped off a lot of hair before the move. Undeterred, Kim knew that I wanted a great shape to regain some length AND I hoped to find my curls again; a tall order, to be sure. SHE TOTALLY DID IT! My hairstyle looks so much nicer, even when I have 'hat hair' (or 'toque hair' for those of us in the U.P.). If I spend a few moments with styling product, the curls definitely come out to play. I'm beyond thrilled and, if I wasn't trying to grow out my lengths, I'd come to see Kim VERY regularly. As it is, I will be back; just let me get a little shaggy first.

Not sure who I spoke with yesterday and today, but VERY helpful and informative and let me know what they suspect the issue was and directed me to a plumber who could better help with my issue. Really appreciated the honesty and openness and will definitely reach back out to them if I have any future issues that would be better suited for them. I had spoken to another septic company in town who tried to quote me at $1,040 for a pump out I didn't need, and piping to bring things up for easier access on my nearly brand-new system and said I needed to decide on the spot, when I asked for a detailed quote, I got a one-line-item blurb with the total and said I had 15-minutes to decide..::insert eye rolling here::. Really appreciated North Country for NOT being like one of their competitors and giving things to me straight. As a female that is rare.
