Would not recommend. We had bob and his crew install a new furnace and a pellet stove in our addition on our house. The heat does not work. One half of the house stays cold while the other half is 85 degrees. We called several times to try to get them to come out to fix the problem and they never showed up. Not sure where to go from here to get our heat working after paying so much to have it done wrong the first time around.

I can’t recommend G & W Heating and Cooling enough. Bob is incredibly knowledgeable — you can tell right away he’s been doing this a long time and truly knows his craft. He took the time to explain what I needed in a way that made sense, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. G&W Heating installed a brand new AC unit in my home earlier this year. I got several quotes, and they offered the best price while also handling the electrical work without needing to bring in a separate electrician. They arrived on time, did the job right, and took the time to explain what to expect.
Now that winter is coming, I wanted to add heat to my attached garage. Once again, G&W came through with a quote that fit my budget without cutting corners. I couldn’t afford a ceiling-mounted natural gas blower heater this time, but they worked with me and installed a wall-mounted natural gas heater instead. They even future-proofed the setup by running the gas line so I can upgrade later if I choose.
What really stands out about G&W is that they can handle both certified electrical and gas line work without involving another contractor. The quote you get is what you pay. Thank you again to Bob and his crew for the great work!

I called G&W for a furnace and AC tuneup. This was my first time using them and I’m glad I did. Chris was the one who came out to my house and he was very friendly and professional. Through the process it was discovered that I had a cracked heat exchanger in my 20 year old furnace. I know it’s the stereotypical diagnosis but he was able to show us the elevated carbon monoxide readings and while it wasn’t the news I was hoping for they were able to have a crew out just two days later to install a new unit.
I was extremely pleased with the quality of work the installing technicians did. They paid attention to all the small details and really showed they valued craftsmanship. I have no hesitation about using them for all my future HVAC needs. I enjoy supporting small local businesses and they took great care of me.
Unlike some of the other companies in the area that only want to make a quick buck and throw together a shady install G & W went above and beyond.
The day of the install I had to be at work and I called Chris maybe half a dozen times with questions and he was very patient and thoroughly explained the answer to each one. The price for the installation was also very reasonable.
The only thing that still needs to happen is the mechanical inspection but I have no reason to believe that there will be any issues there. I will update once inspection is completed.
As an aside I’m a firm believer in having a furnace checked yearly. Carbon monoxide is a very real danger to a homes occupants and regular servicing can detect problems before they become serious.
The pictures are of the completed installation ( I did not think or have time to take before pictures) the ductwork above the furnace and the vent pipes were previously installed and just reconnected. The ductwork on the left was rebuilt to accommodate a larger filter size.

VERY poor communication. The first time for installment they told me they’d be there around 8:30, didn’t get there till 9:30, and was told everything would be done in a few hours the same day. Towards the end of their work, Bob came upstairs and told me he “forgot” to let the electrician know the correct date and time so everything wouldn’t be done that day and he would have to come back. I also asked for the permit for Bob to tell me he “has it, but we don’t need it today I will bring it to you when the inspector comes”. The following week the electrician showed up on time at 10:00a like I was told and Bob told us he would be there with his guys to “finish their job” at 11. I sat and waited till noon to finally text Bob to confirm he was still coming and received no text back so I left to run my errands and received a call from someone saying they would be there around 1:30. That’s a HUGE late window! Once they finished he then told me he would have the inspection set up and the permit will be brought to us. It is 4 weeks after installation and I can not seem to get through to Bob. I’ve sent multiple texts messages asking for the inspection and the permit and am just being ignored. The communication with this company is VERY poor and if you want a proper inspection and a permit- do NOT go through them. Other than the poor communication the installment team was very polite and knowledgeable but bob’s communication is very POOR!

Bob and Dakota did a wonderful job to get our furnace replaced. They came highly recommended from multiple friends, were by far the most reasonably priced and went above and beyond to drape carpets during our install. Bob even offered space heaters for us to use until the parts arrived.
I would highly recommend to anyone with heating/cooling needs that values reasonable prices, integrity, quality, knowledge and kindness.
