“Dr. Teresa and her helpers have been great to work with and believe me, I have not made it easy on them. I've had this one molar that needed a crown, which sounds like it should have been easy but if you know me, you know that things that should be easy never really go easy for me. I freely admit, I am a problem, pain in the butt, patient.
Things started off just fine with the process. We did the work to get the crown ready and have it made at the lab. The temporary was put in and it was odd because it was really uncomfortable. I actually had to go back in because it was driving me crazy with all the aching and zinging with temperature changes. Dr. Teresa was so kind and they adjusted it again. Even put me on antibiotics thinking it was infected. It just refused to get comfortable though. And in the meantime, I was going to have a little back surgery that was going to require us to take out the temporary because of the intubation tube.
To my surprise, when I got there to do that, they had my crown ready to go so we didn't have to leave my tooth with nothing. How great was that!
Or it would have been, except it was still hurting and bothering me so I had to go back in again and this time we had to do a root canal and I think we ended up destroying the crown in the process and they had to have the lab remake it. I'm feeling like they must never want to see me again at this point but they are so nice and keep trying to make it better.
I can't remember how many more times I've been back for the same goofy tooth. The crown is back in there and we're really close to it actually not hurting. I think I need to give Dr. Teresa another go at it and she will have it. It's right there... Like... Right... There.
So I'm so grateful to all of them for not giving up on it when I was frustrated and wanted to. It would be so much worse if I had done so, and who needs that? Tooth pain is the worst and no one needs to live with it when you've got such nice people willing to take it away for you.”
