The lady that took over for the family was terrible. I agree with others, she made you feel like you were nothing. In fact during Covid we had to drop off our paperwork and they didn’t file a w-2, they filed a 1099 under my name that belonged to my wife. They also put in a credit way higher than what we qualified for now we owe the irs 13k because of her incompetence. This has been a two year battle to try and settle. So yea this place is terrible and I believe it’s closed now. I really miss Tim and Jon.

I live in the neighborhood and thought this place would help me out due to being on a time-crunch.. Boy, was i wrong! Let's start out by express how negative this lady was, she almost felt like a judge or probation agent.. She did my taxs all wrong, did not add my kids and my house taxs in the correct areas. It turned out that I did not owe $3,500, the irs owes me almost 3 times that...
I highly recommend never to go here unless you want to pay them, the irs, the state of michigan and pay to have your taxs amended.. I learned huge here, especially not to let a disrespectful person treat you in a negative manner when your paying them to mess up your taxs and providing your time..

This was my go-to place before John and Timothy passed away. John and Timothy were very professional friendly courteous great people.However thr large woman with the glasses had an attitude problem. I want to ask a few questions and she just immediately went into attitude mode.She jacked up my taxes and I barely got a refund.Sadly I went to h&r block and I got the return I was supposed to get unlike the previous year. This woman has no idea what she's doing. Avoid this business is going down the toilet.

Avoid this office. The large woman with the glasses failed to fill in a box on my return and cost me $900 in a tax credit I was eligible for. When i brought it to her attention she said I had to contact the irs. I paid them $200 for service and she refused to correct her mistake. She was loud and rude and denied she did it wrong YET she did my taxes the year before and she filled in the correct box that time. This woman is not trained well and will cost you money with mistakes

Will not be returning. Our family has been utilizing John’s Tax Service for 8+ years. The cost to have our taxes done had been steadily rising but reasonable until this years price increase. I understand cost of business, but what a shame.

This place is horrible... The owner Paula is so rude and doesnt care about her clients. Ive done business with this firm for over 20 years and now that John and Tim are both gone, this company has gone down the tubes. I will take my money and go elsewhere.

Had an issue last year, but gave them another chance this year. Disappointed in the jumbled service. Had to remind them several times of past conversations. They also charged more than stated at the beginning for both my taxes and my sons. I will not be returning.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED with how I was treated today when getting the phone call my taxes were prepared. Jodi was who prepared them for me and after asking her to explain to me why I owed all she did was repeat the same thing over and over again - since I am not a tax professional I would hope the "professional" I am paying should be able to explain to me in a way I can understand. I then had to google while on the phone with her the household income amount for the child tax credit to then have her verify whether or not she had correctly applied the credit. While trying to do the math as to how I could owe because again I didn't understand in all of my years filing taxes I have never had to pay- with her getting louder and louder throughout the call - I told her in a more stern voice not even matching how she had been speaking to me the WHOLE phone call that I didn't like how she was speaking to me, I didn't understand what she was explaining and that I was uncomfortable with how the phone call was going she then shouted at me "WELL THEN CALL BACK WHEN YOU ARE CALM" and proceeded to hang up on me. I have NEVER in my life dealt with such UNPROFESSIONALISM I have been going to this company for years as well as my family. We have sent TONS of business their way. I would never recommend this business to anyone ever again. I will be picking up my documents and taking my business elsewhere.

This place has gone way downhill since John passed, there's just 2 ladies working there and I kept having to correct them, and when I got home I discovered I was getting a check instead of direct deposit like I've been getting for the past 7 years, they need to bring someone in who knows their customers, I would expect this from H&R block NOT here!
