“I called in about a freak emergency that happened to both our labs. I thought just one would need to be seen because he had visible marks. I called back to make sure my other lab didn’t need to be seen. Dr.Bobbie said in these situations the one without any visible injuries is the one to be most concerned about, so she worked both of my dogs into her day. She did a very thorough exam, asked exactly what happened, lots of questions about their behavior since the emergency, treated them, prescribed necessary medication, and told me what to watch for over the next hours/day. She had me schedule a follow up on the one lab with less visible injuries. She was right! My lab needed follow up treatment or she could have lost her vision in one eye.
