“As I reflect on our amazing school year in Kentwood Public Schools—and how intentionally we’ve worked to meet the needs of our beautifully diverse student population in this incredibly diverse district—I’m reminded just how much we have to celebrate.
On the last day of school, we took time to honor every teacher, volunteer, support staff member, and parent who poured into our students. But before I walked out the door to welcome summer, I felt it important to pause and recognize a quiet yet powerful force behind the scenes: our cherished community partner, Kabafusion.
Year after year, often without fanfare or recognition, I receive a call from Mrs. Joyce Jefferson (and yes, she’ll likely be upset I named her). Her simple question always touches my heart: “Can we bless a deserving family or two for Christmas this year?” And every year, that call comes at just the right time—like grace arriving right on schedule.
What Kabafusion does goes far beyond gift-giving. You deliver joy to children who need reminding that they matter. You restore hope to parents who may be quietly struggling, assuring them they are not alone. And when those children return to school, beaming as they share what “Santa” left under their tree, it’s clear that your impact is deeper than words can express.
Kabafusion, you are more than a corporate partner—you are a pillar of compassion, a beacon of hope, and a living example of what it means to reinvest in a community’s greatest asset: its children.
