im very happy with Brandy at Uptown Hair. #1) she squeezed us in before spring break after the storms hit and backlogged everyone's schedule. #2 secondly she did all four of my kids haircuts that had untamed 6 months of growth and did a phenomenal job, her experience and dedication shows in her work! #3 Her prices cant be beat, especially when you have multiple school aged kiddos #4 Brandys shop is kid friendly and her energy was exactly what you'd hope for when you have small kiddos waiting to get their hair done. How does one review a funeral home. Never have but here I am. My mother passed in 2018 and my dad handled all with my mom. So I didn’t have to. So when dad passed I figured we would use the same one as mom. Well dad passed April 1st 2025 and I had his nurse call the only funeral home I thought there was only one in Kalkaska. So they came to my dad’s pleasant men and took excellent care of dad. Took him to the funeral home. I called Brother Thomas to go and give my dad a blessing per one of my dad’s wishes. Brother Thomas goes to the funeral home and He calls me and says ur father is not at the funeral home. Needless to say I was confused because they took him. To find out there is 2 homes in Kalkaska and dad was at this new one. Well we go to the home as planned the next day and they were so kind said they would move dad to the other home. Well they were local Kingsley raised down the road from us. So meant to be yes. They handled everything with my father. Even down to the military honors. They mail me comforting cards and even a sympathy birthday card for my first with out my father. Bruce and his team are very passionate and so comforting thru the whole process. I am glad he went to Kalkaska Funeral home by mistake because the care for all of us was way more than I could have asked for. Thank you for caring for the living as well.

They not only took a look at my car right away but also went above and beyond by fixing the plug for my exhaust at no charge.⚙️ They even took care of repairing my front bumper where a clip had broken. ??
What really stood out to me was how the mechanic ?? and the entire front office team ? took the time to help me figure out why I was having trouble deleting old Bluetooth devices from my car stereo. We shared some laughs and had great conversations throughout the process, which made the experience even more enjoyable. ??
Today, they surprised me once again by helping me with my tires, even though I wasn’t able to cover the full cost. This car repair place truly is one of the best I’ve ever encountered! I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Everyone there is simply amazing! ? ???

My 3 girls have been seeing Rachel Newman since birth. My oldest is 5 and I've never had a complaint about her or the office! The staff are very nice and the Dr's are always attentive and thoroughly explain everything! Highly recommend them!
My furnace that All Control installed a few years ago began blowing cold air. I called them and within an hour or so on a Saturday they came and fixed it. I liked them when they installed it and their great service continues. THANK YOU! I'm so grateful!

So, I had a bit of an emergency, long story short, I scratched my eye with a dollar bill on accident yesterday and called today about making an appointment. They said to come in right away. That was so nice of them to do that, considering the fact that they didn't have to! I am ever so thankful for that because my vision is important to me. So yes a 5 star for Kalkaska Family Vision Care!
