Karmaknife is a phenomenal tattoo studio with a warm, welcoming, and flawlessly clean environment. I've been going to Christopher Meddle for a year now, and they always listen to my ideas, executing both freehand and stencil designs that are exactly what I envisioned. They handle any tweaks I request with the utmost kindness, truly helping my tattoo dreams come true. Not only is Chris an extremely talented artist with amazing work (you definitely need to check out their Instagram!), but they are also a genuinely kind person and a great listener while I yap about random life things to distract myself from the pain. If you are looking for a dark, fantasy, spooky, or just an absolutely amazeballs tattoo, I highly recommend going to Karmaknife and seeing Chris!

Awesome experience with Christopher Meddle! They worked with my budget, different design ideas, and scheduling. They made me feel comfortable during the process, was good about breaks, encouraging and considerate through out. Not only was my experience getting tattooed amazing but this is by far my favorite tattoo yet! It’s healed so well and I love showing it off. Would definitely go back to this studio and especially this artist! I get compliments all the time and I’m so grateful for my experience

Very welcoming place, everyone that I spoke to was friendly. I got a free hand centipede tattoo by Chris! I'm an extremely anxious person and when I spoke to him that anxiety disappeared. He made me feel comfortable. Overall great experience. He opens his books up soon and I can't wait to see more work from him!!

went a few weeks ago to get a rengoku tattoo, the place was very nice and my artist was very friendly and kind, i would definitely come back up to michigan for karmaknife <3

I spent the past five months coming into this shop and I can confidently say this. This is hands down my new favorite shop. Sam sat with me and we went through with my idea and it came out better than I could have ever described. Truly a creative visionary in the line of work.
The place is spotless and has a vibe that no other shop really does that I’ve been to. The staff is very friendly and an absolute blast to have conversation with. If you are into dark art and black work look no further than Sam at Karmaknife. I know I won’t be going anywhere else for my work.

Cleanliness: The store is spotless.

I had such a delightful time at Karmaknife with Taylor as my artist! They have recently renovated and created a new waiting area for clients. Each artist has their own section in the front of the shop with art and decor unique to their style/personalities.The atmosphere is a warm welcoming vibe. The entire team that is working that day will banter or chat with you while you're getting your tattoo done. I am an exceptionally shy, introverted person but felt so accepted at Karmaknife. <3Aside from the fun of the appointment, the work that they do is very high quality. Taylor made sure to share ample instructions on aftercare and offered as-needed support for any questions post-appointment. My first piece healed flawlessly and I anticipate my new one will as well.If this is your first visit and you're wondering where to park, I recommend the free lot across from the shop. :)Huge thank you to Taylor and the Karmaknife team for creating such a lovely place to get new tattoos!
