I just moved to the area and my PCP recommended this practice because of my history of eye / retina issues. Like many others, I have now placed two calls starting a few weeks ago and have yet to be contacted by scheduling. If you're too busy for new patients, just tell us.

I love doctor Sutherland and the office staff always friendly, they are extremely busy so you have to have some patience while waiting.

I really like Dr. Boss and Jeanine! This is where I go to get shots in my eyes for diabetic retinopathy. They make it a pleasant experience even though I'm terrified at the very thought everytime!!!

Unable to speak with scheduling. “They will call you back”……going on 3 weeks now with repeated follow ups on my end. Doctor canceled my appointment due to PTO, unable to reschedule without speaking to scheduling. Other reviews report the same issue.

Doctor Westhouse saved my eye. I had a partially detached retina in an urgent, emergency situation. They found room for me and got me in for surgery the next day. The kindness and professionalism of the staff, combined with the confident skill Dr. Westhouse showed throughout the ordeal took a lot of the fear out of what was happening. Had my last check up yesterday and my eye is good to go. Thank you, Dr. Westhouse and your entire team for saving my eye. The whole team is bright, cheerful and always ready to do whatever they can to help.l

Have tried for 3 weeks to get an sppt with Dr. Westbound, who we love. My husband needs an appt for Aug, have tried to get one scheduled. Have called 6 times. & keep being told that they will contact Holland office, NO ONE HAS CALLED!! I wanted to speak to office Mgr, was told to leave a message. I left the message, AGAIN NO REPLY!!!! ARE THERE ALIENS WORKING THERE, OR ROBOTS???? BERY POOR BUSINESS!!!

Was referred June 24 for an eye issues. Waited 32 days for call back, finally last night at 5:10 pm they called and hung up after 1 ring, immediately called back and received their service and had to leave message with them, so far I am not impressed with them. Waiting now on another call from them 🤯

As I write this I am on hold for the second time (I gave up after 22 minutes the first time) to try and get an appointment. I was assured on April 1st that someone would call me back. My husband needs shots in his eye every six weeks (hopefully to keep him from going blind), and they don’t see fit to call us back. They need to let the different offices schedule their own appointments.

Retina Specialists of Michigan is the place to go . DR Joseph Boss put all my fears at ease. My regular eye doctor dismissed my tear in my retina, and I called back and request another opinion from a different doctor, My doctor gave me the option to see a specialist at Retina Specialist of Michigan after I voiced my concerns that my vision was getting more blurry in one eye. So happy I didn't take the second option (wait and see) I am so happy with my surgery with Dr Joseph Boss Retina Specialists of Michigan and the Grand Valley Surgical Center in Grand Rapids. Dr Joseph Boss and the staff are wonderful (AND THEY CARE). Dr Joseph Boss explained everything and eased my concerns and fears. I am so thankful for Retina Specialists of Michigan and the knowledge, Expertise, Advanced Technology, and Compassionate Care they demonstrated. Dr Joseph Boss has a true passion for helping people and he educates you, so you understand; made me feel at ease. He is an amazing doctor; Surgery was a success, and my vision keeps improving as I heal. ♥
