3052 Wright St, Marquette“Dr. Emily is the most compassionate and attentive veterinarian I’ve had in my 15 years as a pet owner. She provided thoughtful, long-term care for my dog Landon and showed genuine empathy when we ultimately had to say goodbye.
With my two senior dogs, she continues to be supportive, respectful, and honest—never judgmental, never profit-driven. She listens, takes concerns seriously, and focuses on comfort and quality of life.
Transitioning from three dogs to two aging ones has been emotionally difficult, and her care has made it so much easier. I trust her completely and cannot recommend her highly enough.“

I don’t think I’ve ever had a veterinarian tell me not to bring in our cat so as to not stress him more and send prescriptions in without charging an arm and a leg. Truly shows they care about the well being of your pets and want what’s best! Thank you Stuga North team!“

Dr. Brauer has an incredible ability to diagnose and treat health conditions that other vets have missed. His expertise has been a lifesaver for my dogs, uncovering underlying issues and ensuring they receive the best possible care. He’s also helped manage their seasonal allergies with effective and affordable treatments, which has made a huge difference in their quality of life.
I started bringing my oldest dog there 8 + years ago while I was in college, and the team was always so understanding of my situation as a college student. They worked with me to find affordable ways to care for my dogs without ever compromising the quality of treatment.
Dr. Brauer and his son, Dr Brauer Jr. have an approach to veterinary care that is always honest and compassionate. They never push unnecessary treatments and they are always there when you need them. In emergencies, they have gone above and beyond (countless times) showing up in the middle of the night or even on weekends to help. Their dedication and kindness are unmatched.
I truly couldn’t say better things about this team. If you’re looking for a vet who is knowledgeable, dependable, and truly cares about your pets, this is the place to go!“

“I took my dog to Dr. Tim for years and always loved working with him. He’s genuinely a great veterinarian, especially for the canine athlete, and just as caring in the clinic as he is if you run into him on the trails running dogs. I’m sure he doesn’t remember me personally - we were just kids down the street running sled dogs back then with friends - but he and his wife are truly upstanding people. He’s honest and at the forefront of veterinary medicine, which means he won’t jerk you around. That is invaluable.
This review isn’t about Dr. Tim Hunt, but about a front desk interaction. I moved out of state 5 to 6 years ago and recently returned to Marquette. My previous dog has since passed, so our status understandably reverted to new patients. I asked the front desk if there were any local veterinary practices they respect or commonly refer people to until Bayshore opens their books again. Anyone familiar with performance or working dogs knows that “any vet” is not always appropriate.
I tried rephrasing my question a few times, emphasizing that I was not asking who was accepting new clients, but whether there was anyone they would recommend professionally. I had a vet once that tried to treat my working dog like a pet dog and it was a bad experience for everyone that I want to avoid that in the future. Unfortunately, the receptionist repeatedly told me that any veterinary practice would be fine. That simply isn’t true for working dogs with intense physical demands and non-typical temperaments. The conversation felt dismissive. I asked how long the books were closed for just to get a sense but she said four months and then repeated that I can google any vet and be fine yet again in a repetitive dismissive almost fake polite voice. But maybe that’s me interpreting it as such.
After hanging up, I realized email might be more efficient, so I called back and spoke with a different receptionist. I explained the situation again, made it clear I completely understood them not taking new clients, and shared that this interaction didn’t feel on par with how I remembered Bayshore - as a practice that genuinely cares. I asked whether I could email or contact through Facebook might be a better way to get an answer.
She told me she didn’t have an immediate answer but said she would take a moment to ask and took my number to call me back. She made it clear it might not be the same day, which I was completely fine with. That effort alone meant a lot. Rather than feeling dismissed and lost it seemed like someone cared. Sometimes “I don’t know, but I can find out” makes all the difference. Her doing that really deserves recognition and changed the whole interaction.
Anyways, hope Bayshore open up to new (or “new”) patients again soon. I really respect the practice and appreciate the care my dog received years ago. I’m going to tell myself the apathy from the first receptionist is just that day and not a shift in the culture of the practice as a whole. Also the second receptionist deserves recognition for just asking (even if she can’t get an answer, I just appreciate the try) because that meant the world.“
