DBC Chiropractic is the best office in the country to get care for your health and back. It’s been so long since I’ve had an adjustment but I really need to go back soon to get and alignment. My mom, Carolyn Harkema, worked there for years billing insurance, she loved her job and Dr. DenBoer always paid her top dollar for not having a college degree. I would like to start taking my supplements from natures remedies. They are purchased from the Netherlands and are top of the line. Thank you Dr. DenBoer for helping so many people with their health issues, especially my dad who has bladder cancer. He is eating healthy, taking his supplements and eating a sugar free diet. His cancer has so far not returned.

I don't live in Michigan but I love DBC's YouTube channel. The doctors and their staff have given me a lot of great information. I wish they'd return to doing videos.

The acoustic compression treatments are so helpful. The arthritis in my hands is very painful and debilitating. I regained mobility and am pain free. Periodic treatments keep keep me this way. Everyone there is very nice

I go here for dietary guidance / counseling for histamine intolerance. Worlds more helpful than any info I've gotten from a conventional doctor. Would absolutely recommend trying out if you have a condition that Western medicine "doesn't believe in."

I was having serious back and hip pain. I called to make an appointment. Found out that the doctor I was seeing left. I asked to see someone else, as I was in pain. They said they would not schedule me see anyone else as I was a patient of only this doctor who left, not of their clinic. Which to me did not make sense, they just throw customers of their clinic to the curb because a doctor left? I had this happen with a medical clinic and they just assigned me to another Physician. Next, they told me I could wait a few months as they were possibly getting a new doctor. They did not care that I was in pain. I no longer recommend this place to anyone.

DBC was referred to me by a friend in 2003. I have since been a regular client. In 2009 I took my then 18 year old Down's Syndrome son who was diagnosed with ITP (Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura - low platelet count). My son was treated by a hematologist open to work with us parents who included Dr. DenBoer in our efforts to rid this autoimmune disease. Conventional treatments were not yielding expected results (IVIG infusion, Vincristine, steroid), while the side effects were worse than the symptoms. After three years with not much improvements at platelet counts of an average of 25,000, the hematologist considered my son had chronic ITP.
Several months later Dr. DenBoer said to me, "I read in an article that cattles in Michigan suffer from low Iodine. I wonder if animals do, so do humans!" So he suggested Iodine supplements for our son. We gave him 3x a week and after only 2 months his platelet count began to rise to the 40,000 then it steadily rose until it reached around 165,000, which is within normal range. Once a week of Iodine pill became a routine since then, and as of last year, after about 12 year, his platelet count was 235,000 which is his normal count when he was 9 month old.
What I appreciate most about Dr. DenBoer is his style of partnership in addressing issues concerning my health. We exchange ideas, we brainstorm for solutions.
I had a frozen shoulder once as a result of an accident from playing a racket sport. I had MRI taken, and the orthopedic surgeon recommended that I had another MRI taken, in preparation for a surgery, which he was sure I needed it.
I told him I would rather wait and I took the MRI to Dr. DenBoer for his review. His answer was, "The surgery will fix it in a matter of weeks. I can give you exercises that will fix it in a year." I opted for the exercise. I followed his direction faithfully, everyday. One year later almost to the date, I was playing badminton and tennis again.
I had tennis elbow, he fixed it in a matter of seconds!
Dr. DenBoer's style of practice fits my philosophy: My health is my own responsibility, he provides his medical science knowledge to help me maintain it to the best of my ability.

I would never go back. I was not treated with respect from the office staff. My doctor was nice but he did not go into detail about my health. He never even spoke one word about blood work, or anything other than the machine you stand on. I had to ask him. I was excited to try functional health. I have since chosen a great place in Holland.
