I moved out to the area just over a year ago, around which time my beloved cat, Jake, began to experience some health problems. He ended up being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that ended up taking his life.

Throughout his illness, the staff and veterinarians at Madison Heights Veterinary Hospital were very courteous and understanding. The vets were equally as determined as I was to ensure Jake's healing, and they were also conscientious of the fact that I am on a limited income and did their best to recommend the best treatments possible at the most affordable price. Every time I called, they would call right back. Every time there was something Jake urgently needed, they would stay past closing time to look thoroughly at his situation and make sure they made the correct diagnosis and decided next steps.

At the time of his death, the staff and vets were beyond gracious. They made sure Jake was as comfortable as possible and that his transition was a peaceful one. They were also very kind towards me as I said goodbye, making sure I had all the time I needed and plenty of privacy. This experience was completely different from previous euthanasia experiences I've had where vets hurried through the process and immediately threw the bill in my face without any ounce of compassion. The staff and vets here were, fortunately, the complete opposite.

While I am forever heartbroken at Jake's passing, I am sure that, when I'm ready, I'll have another cat. At which point I am certain I will be returning to Madison Heights Veterinary Hospital for all of their health needs.“

“Our dog was very very sick. We had 4 vets from a different vet practice tell us there was nothing left to do to save her. During this very difficult time Dr. John returned my call and shared that he wanted to help. Not only did he make our dog comfortable that night (after hours) by calling in medication, he followed up for the days on his own time. He truly saved her life when multiple other vets gave up way too soon. I have never seen a vet office with such compassion and dedication to sick animals. They truly care and go out of their way to help. My dog went from having a scheduled appointment to put her to sleep to feeling the best she has felt in years. She is happy and doing so well. I am forever grateful for west Woodward animal clinic and highly recommend them! They answered every single question and explained all outcomes. They were realistic with her possible prognosis but worked so hard to make our dog better. They also have very fair prices and in no way try to scam or do unnecessary testing to make money.“

“To say THANK YOU to Tabitha, Courtney, and Dr. Brown simply doesn't express how grateful I am to this wonderful group! On Memorial Day my 8 year old Great Dane Odin was sick and we were told we needed a cardiologist right away. I researched and talked to people I knew and everything I saw said this was the place to go. I was able to get an appointment within a week which I was so grateful for. But what makes me eternally to everyone is the care they showed my big fur baby before they even had us in for our appointment! They reviewed his emergency vet visit information. They spoke to his regular vet to coordinate his care before we made it to VCC. Dr. Brown got medications ordered for Odin to help his heart while we waited for his appointment and it helped him so much! Courtney and Tabitha went above and beyond to help me know what to expect at my appointment so I wasn't caught off guard by anything. Tabitha even messaged me to check on Odin after his appointment!
