Downtown Birmingham Veterinary is a compassionate clinic known for its exceptional care and accommodating staff. They prioritize the safety of all pets and provide prompt service, as seen when a truck driver received immediate help for his sick dog. The knowledgeable team quickly diagnosed issues, ensuring pets receive the best treatment. Clients appreciate the kindness and support given during difficult times, making them feel confident and comfortable with their pets' care. This clinic is dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners.
Our dogs and cat receive excellent care from Dr. Schwartz and his wonderful team. He is a straightforward, honest communicator who has helped us navigate several difficult health decisions. While his office uses traditional paper records rather than digital files, his commitment to his patients is unmatched; he provides his personal phone number for emergencies, and he even re-opened the clinic after hours to provide medication when our dog was razor-burned by a previous groomer. The practice also offers pet insurance options.

We've been taking our dog here on and off (we moved for a few years) since he was a puppy. Its reliable, old fashioned care in a charming old house. While they dont have the hours and facilities of the some of the bigger vets.. their personalized care, fair practices and short waits are what keeps us coming back. And we trust their vets. Quick, efficient no non sense. In and out. Our dog also seems to trust them, when others have had trouble handling him.
