My last vet sold his business. I had been going there for years. My dog Bella pooped a puddle of blood, I called to see if I could bring Bella in right away and was told I had to schedule an appt. The recommendation was to take her to an emergency hospital.I called Dr. Schwartz's office. He was able to see her that day.I was grateful that Dr. Schwartz was able to diagnose and give Bella medicine that afternoon. Since that day, Dr. Schwartz has become Bella and Jay's Veternarian. Dr. Schwartz and the staff at Downtown Veterinarian Clinic are outstanding. I highly recommend this clinic.

Our cat had a bladder infection a couple weeks ago and we were unable to get her into her normal vet and called multiple places until downtown Birmingham vet told us to bring her in. The vet and his staff were extremely nice and allowed me back in the room and explained the whole treatment plan to me. They had three vet techs holding and petting my cat to calm her down. They gave her penicillin and gave me antibiotics. I never felt like they tried to sell me something that was warranted and felt they went above and beyond to put me and my beloved cats nervous at ease. Will most definitely be going back!

Love Dr. Schwartz and his staff. He's been caring for my dogs for 25 years or more. I drive past a few veterinary offices and could easily find one closer, but I choose Dr. Schwartz and staff. Excellent practice!!
