I want to give the highest recommendation to Annie and her incomparable team at FirstLight Home Care.
We called Annie on an emergency basis on a Sunday. She answered immediately and was able to provide a caregiver for the next day. As our needs changed, and often quite suddenly, Annie magically kept up with them. We went from requiring support a few hours a day to needing practically full-time care. Annie kept up with that. In addition, she was able to minimize the turnover in caregivers so that we all felt comfortable with seeing the same faces. All the caregivers were highly competent, punctual, caring.

Annie at First Light responds to questions promptly. We are very pleased with Mo, the male companion who is pleasant, interactive and more than willing to accompany my husband to interesting activities in our senior community as well in Ann Arbor at large. This is the best experience I have ever had with a home healthcare company. We hired First Light to help with my mom, who was living on her own but needed daily caregiving due to some dementia and physical issues…most of her children and relatives are spread about the country and can’t be there for her on a regular basis. Every person I dealt with at First Light was communicative and supportive. My mom could be an extremely difficult client at times and First Light treated her with kindness, compassion, and respect, even when she was extremely combative, angry, and delusional. Not only did First Light consistently go above and beyond for our family, they were in constant communication with us about what was going on with our mom and had suggestions about how to enrich her life. Dan and Annie and my mom’s caregivers were fantastic, caring, lovely folks. I highly recommend this awesome company.

Annie and Dan, and the caregivers Thomas, Taleea and Joanna, have done a great job providing 24/7 care for my father-in-law so that he can remain living at home, far away from his children. The First Light Team has worked hard to care for this independent minded senior who has had great difficulty accepting help as he has lost his mobility.I would also like to commend First Light's billing, in which the cost of the care has been broken down by hour and by caregiver, and delivered weekly by e-mail.The FIRST light team has been able to handle emergencies, including ambulance calls and other stressful situations, while keeping us in close communication. I know my father-in-law is in responsible hands with a team of caregivers who can make solid decisions.

Absolutely magnificent company. The admins are genuinely compassionate and kind hearted, and go to great lengths in making certain that their clients receive nothing but the best care from their team. I've seen how working in any kind of health care for a long period of time can make people jaded and, frankly, bitter. But that's not the case with FirstLight. They do everything in their power to give clients the same care they'd give to their own loved ones, and they do it with a smile on their faces. It's an honor to be part of such a wonderful team.

First Light Home Care provided my mother with 24/7 care for six months.I never had to worry about her being alone and I knew she was well looked after. She delighted in developing relationships with each her care providers and referred to them as her friends.
