Dr. Rachel Terry was patient and understanding with the younger 9 month old pup and went through everything thoroughly with our 10 year old lab and took great care of him. Clients were able to leave there without their pets being nervous and they were very relaxed. It's nice to know they found their new veterinary so quickly. The staff has truly gone above and beyond to reassure anxious pups and ensure that they get the necessary care. It's also easy to make an appointment, pick up a prescription, or just pop in for a treat and a weigh-in. The doc had a very animal bedside manner, could read a room & sat on the floor to make a feisty Chihuahua as comfortable as possible. It's adorable that most of the staff shows up to work with a dog.
The most important thing to me was that I was given all the information I needed to make it decision about the plan of care. Dr. Wilson was amazingly clear, patient, and caring. The vets I have been to in Maine heretofore Have been very short on information, at times negligently so. I really appreciate the clarity.
Have been going to Cape Vet for years. Every experience has been positive. The care is excellent, the staff are friendly and seem to genuinely care. My dog is usually healthy but has had two health scares in her life and both times she received kind and life saving care from vets and techs at Cape Vet. We are very grateful!
On our travels up to vacation, over a holiday weekend, our golden retreiver had a limp that had worsened. We sought care at Cape Veterinary Clinic. We highly recommend them. The veterinarian and the staff were professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Our golden liked them (which is not always the case with vets). The clinic is clean and well run and has a calm environment. The team were thorough and compassionate. They presented options clearly and offered terrific care. If we had the need, or lived in the area, we would return there! We appreciate the care that we received!
