It is a stripped down experiment to eliminate the unnecessary, nurturing the acceptance of self through exploration and empathy. All thoughts, feelings, and forms of expression are welcome. The salon is described as having a great and tranquil atmosphere, a bright spot in the neighborhood. It is a family business with a sense of comfort and peace. The stylist is called the best, a talented artist who really gets hair. He intuitively knows what clients are looking for and has a gift that comes through in his work. He takes time to evaluate hair and listen, making recommendations that work with its texture. He helps clients grow out their hair while keeping it edgy and wash-and-go, or works with long hair so the haircut looks natural. The result is a transformative and inspiring haircut that looks great even when just washed and air-dried. Clients feel no judgment, only an openness to explore, and they plan to return for decades. The experience is everything one could wish for, and the result is worth the wait. Gratuity is included in the price of service.

From the moment I stepped into Brian’s salon and sat in his chair, a sense of comfort and peace was felt. It was my first time having him cut my hair, although I had known of him when he owned his salon in Boston. He intuitively knew what it was I was looking for from my hair. He has a gift and it comes through in his work. Despite his extensive background in the industry, I never felt judged or intimidated … rather inspired to be more creative and an openness to explore outside my traditional style.
Nomadic Goat has been a bright spot in the transforming Bayside neighborhood for years. I had the opportunity to get my first hair cut in quite a while, with Brian recently. The whole experience was everything I could have wished for. The atmosphere is tranquil, the clients were lovely and Brian, an absolute artist, will hopefully be the person handling my hair for decades forth. Think ahead when booking, the result is worth the wait!
