“As a Chinese-American bride, it was important for me to have an Asian HMU artist who understood how to work with my skin and hair. And as someone who doesn't wear makeup often, I wanted to look like and feel like myself on my wedding day so it was important for me to have a HMU artist who can achieve that.

Kong was the perfect HMU artist, going above and beyond. She truly listened to what I wanted, while still providing her professional expertise (which is what I needed as someone who is indecisive and inexperienced). By the end of my trial, I knew I had picked the right person and felt complete confidence in her work. On my wedding day, I looked and felt both beautiful and myself. After navigating the website and going through all the talented people at the salon, I chose Cole to be the one who would help in this next hair chapter of my life. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly greeted and checked in. The salon entrance is stunning and they have the best beverage station I’ve ever seen. The decor is fabulous and the staff is even better.
Cole met me and walked me into his room which was clean and beautifully decorated. His demeanor immediately put my nerves at ease and I knew I had made the best decision booking him. After showing him some inspiration photos, we discussed my lifestyle, schedule and how the cut I wanted would fit into my daily life. He listened intently and gave really great feedback and suggestions. I trusted him completely at that point, I knew I was going to walk out with a cut I would adore.
The entire process took a little over an hour and it flew by! The conversation was fantastic and never felt forced. It flowed as if new friends were sitting having coffee. He described everything he was doing so I can try to duplicate it at home.
At the end, I saw myself for the first time in three years. I could not stop smiling and truly couldn’t believe it was me looking in the mirror. The cut was *PERFECT* in every way. It was exactly as we had discussed only like 1000 times better! I didn’t know a hair cut could make me feel so beautiful and finally like myself again. Thank you, Cole!! Truly, you changed so many things for me that day and I will forever be grateful for my experience. I’ve received so many compliments and will be booking at Mint Salon Block for all of my hair needs from now on. If you are on the fence, book the appointment!!! You will not be disappointed.“
