My husband and I have been aware of Relics for many years, and have bought various bits of salvage as we work to rehabilitate our historic property. When we discovered their sign up in New Windsor indicating they were working on restoring a building rather than taking one apart, we were so excited. We were lucky enough to get on their schedule, and they did what we had resigned ourselves to be impossible – to take a reclaimed 1806 long leaf, yellow heart pine flooring and put it down in our Once-and-Future Dining Room without endless shimming and suffering. Doug and Eric were wonderful to work with the past 6 months while we designed the Farthings Ordinary Pub in Historic St. Mary's City, Maryland. They have rare reclaimed wood and provided many samples for our client to choose from. The selected woods included reclaimed barn wood and American Chestnut with domino joinery. Such wonderful finds! So helpful. And much much better than supporting the chain stores. Highly recommend giving them a visit! And lovely bucolic views on the drive there as an added bonus!
