I was hopeful but resigned to the fact that the stain might be permanent.they diligently put pieces of tape at every stain and to my great surprise the jacket came back looking brand new!!“

“I got married 30 years ago this June and while I was on my honeymoon, my mother took my silk and lace wedding dress, veil and headpiece to be cleaned and preserved at Athens. The box has been at my Mom's house all this time and I just found it when clearing out her closets after she passed away. My daughter wanted to open it to see. My husband was sure that after 30 years, it would be a mess. The dress was perfect! It was clean and bright. The veil and headpiece were also pristine and perfect. It was set on a form and stuffed with acid free tissue paper and wired in place with very long twist ties. Hermetically sealed and double boxed. Very impressed. Not sure how Athens is now- but 30 years ago, they were on top of their game!“
