Every time I used the fireplace, a smoky smell would linger in the house for days afterward. Daniel suggested that an air duct cleaning might help pull the stale air out more effectively. He found that the return vents were almost completely blocked by years of household dust. After a deep cleaning, the air circulation improved dramatically and the smoky scent is gone.
