Being adopted from Russia as an infant, I decided to explore Russian history, and found Systema as a unique form of martial arts from the Slavic regions throughout history. Jim and my fellow students were incredible to learn with, the experience was fun, positive, and very close-knit. What I learned from Jim brought a whole new perspective on human movement, energy, and conditioning, he is an excellent instructor who excels at transferring the daunting and the complexity of Systema into an intuitive, easy to grasp simplicity. The fellow students I learned with were fun and great company, we helped each other out and challenged each other to do our best. Incredible experience, would love to return someday!

Great place for personal training and guided strength and fitness classes. No fake “let’s go ppl” kinda of training, just solid supportive motivation and encouragement, with safety in mind at all times.
I can't say enough good things about Willow St. Yoga. Its classes and amazing teachers nourish our body, mind, and soul. This studio is truly an under appreciated gem of Takoma DC and Takoma Park. Has an incredibly history/legacy (and a national reputation - incredibly for a small, independent studio) and is led today by Joe Miller (son of the founder). Joe is himself a gem of a teacher and a human. SO knowledgeable about yoga and anatomy, as well as funny and generous. This studio deserves everyone's support - but most important, it has so much to offer all of us! Diverse classes, special workshops, great teachers. Willow Street has got it all.
Also, you can't lose by trying them out - they offer a $29 special for two weeks of unlimited classes. That's how my wife and I got hooked. And now we are members with unlimited classes and not enough time to enjoy them all.
I had an absolutely magical time with Beth! She made me feel so accepted right away, even though it was my first time going out en femme it felt comfortable the entire time. I barely recognized myself after the makeover! The entire community was so accepting so the location is perfect, it's a wonderful neighborhood and going to the studio was like going to a friend's house. We had an amazing dinner and went out to a local bar the first night, and had a fantasy session the next day. Beth really got to know me before hand, and worked with me on everything I wanted. We did multiple looks and she was able to make each one special. Tell her what you want, communicate early and honestly, and you will have the perfect time out and feel truly transformed.

So thankful this thanksgiving that I found Raymond to restore family heirloom chairs badly damaged in my recent move back to the area. Outstanding job cleaning the outside of our house. They arrived on time, cleaned up after and I won't wait so long next time to have them out.
Every time I used the fireplace, a smoky smell would linger in the house for days afterward.
Daniel suggested that an air duct cleaning might help pull the stale air out more effectively.
He found that the return vents were almost completely blocked by years of household dust.
After a deep cleaning, the air circulation improved dramatically and the smoky scent is gone.
He was very careful with his hoses and made sure not to track any soot onto our carpets.
The house feels much more refreshed, and we can finally enjoy our fireplace in peace.

I scheduled a professional chimney inspection with K&Y Chimney Repairs & Chimney Inspection Takoma Park, MD because my fireplace was not drafting properly. The technician inspected the liner and flue and recommended a full chimney cleaning to remove soot buildup. After the service the fireplace began venting properly again. He also checked the chimney structure for any damage. During the inspection he discovered moisture buildup around the chimney area and recommended mold removal services. The mold remediation treatment removed the contamination and helped prevent further mold issues.

The staff at Takoma Park Animal Clinic did an excellent job handling my cat’s recent illness. They allowed me to drop him off for the day and pick him up after work. They called and kept me informed as to his test results and how he was responding to treatment. When I came to pick him up, I was pleased that Dr Carey took the time, after hours, to thoroughly discuss his case and answer my questions. When handling him, the staff showed care and affection. I knew my cat would get excellent care here and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
The service is very good and the staff is friendly, but appointments are taking longer than the month stipulated in the contracts, which has delayed treatment. They should have the capacity to attend to patients within the stipulated timeframes. Once this change is made, I would say it is excellent service.
