About CENTRAL NAIL BAR

Central Nail Bar in Downtown Silver Spring is a spacious restaurant with multiple sections for various services. The staff is kind and although there may be some language barriers at times, they are quickly resolved. The prices for services are comparable to competitors in the area, despite a slight increase over the past two years. It is important to note that nail and toe treatments can take a significant amount of time, often up to three hours if both are being done, and acrylic nails can take at least two hours. Kim is highly recommended as a nail technician, with Kathy and Michael also providing excellent service when she is not available. It is suggested to call ahead and inquire about Kim's availability.

I had an emergency situation with my nails and needed help after work. I stopped in because the nail bar was still open, and I found an absolute jam! Not only did they help me, but they also did my nails again exactly how I wanted them and in An incredibly professional way. I realize that I was making them stay late, but they were very kind and generous of their time. In addition, the cost is very reasonable!

The place is pretty clean. The nail technicians on the other hand need to practice cleanliness. One of the techs was removing my old gel polish and before she even touched the instrument, I can tell their nails were pretty nasty. I'm assuming it was dead skin from the past customer. Aside from that, the price is pretty good and reasonable.

This was my first time here, and I was pretty disappointed. I got dip with gel French tip manicure. Luckily it was only $58 but I feel like that was still too much for the quality. I can get past the poor result, but not a single tool used was sanitized. At one point, the technician used a drill bit he got out of his BACK POCKET. Every single bottle of product he used was crusty and practically out. This alone is enough for me not to return. I can see the powder particles of the dip. I know this can happen with dip, and maybe dip isn't the best choice for French tip, but it looks so messy. I'm actually embarrassed of my thumbs. He left gel polish on my skin, and the product closest to my cuticle is messy and uneven. The pictures don't do it justice. I asked for a pretty simple design on an accent nail (hearts) and he was unable to do that. After doing one nail, I asked him to wipe it off and just do the French tip. Even that was pretty uneven. Over all, the place seemed nice, everyone was friendly, and it's a super convenient location. But I was very unhappy with my nails and wilnot be going back.
