It was a good visit with my new doctor. However, the next week when I took a pointement for the bloodwork, I waited more than 40 minutes because some staff took a break to eat a cupcake while I was still waiting in front of them. That happened after I told the lady, who was celebrating her last day at work, that I was still waiting. Then she started processing other people, that's when I went to complain to the Administration.
The one who was celebrating her last day delayed me on purpose after I told her I had been waiting, and she took 5 people who came after me.
Finally, after 40 minutes, a lady from the administration came, and then they took me in right away. Also, the one who was serving cupcakes to everyone while I was still waiting started arguing with me when the Admin lady came, saying that she had processed many people early in the morning.
They can eat and take a break, but not all of them while we have an appointment. Additionally, someone should cover for them. It was a very bad experience, and they did not respect anyone, even the elderly people who came and waited for them.

I was able to get to get in within the hour to see a doctor at RIMG’s acute care clinic. This enabled a much speedier recovery with my health issue. Very competent staff here!

I found Susan Kioko completely by coincidence — the practitioner I had originally requested at Rockville Internal Medicine wasn’t available, and Susan was recommended instead. It turned out to be a blessing.
I was going through a very dark moment in my life and couldn’t sleep. Through a careful review of all my medications and by requesting additional bloodwork, Susan discovered that I was being over-medicated with a thyroid medication.
Throughout the entire tapering process, Susan was right there to guide and support me. She reformulated my thyroid medications, and today I finally feel like myself again.
Susan is not only highly knowledgeable with extensive experience in these areas, but she is also deeply sensitive and caring when it comes to the psychological aspects of her patients’ conditions.
I wholeheartedly recommend Susan Kioko to anyone in need of a nurse practitioner.

I am always seen on time. The staff is efficient and courteous. My doctor takes whatever time. is needed to keep me informed and answer my questions. In addition, they have a very efficient same day clinic and every time I have asked for an appointment online because I have a cold or the flu, etc. I’m given an appointment time for a zoom call within two hours of my original call. Also this practice has a wide variety of specialists so I can get everything at One place. Having my doctor is part of a big practice like this means it’s easier to get a hold of specialists when I need something. I’ve been going to this practice for over 10 years and I am very pleased.

It is just a nightmare dealing with this place. Though my doc was ok the back office is just garbage. My bill was run up through a whole bunch of unnecessary tests. It was just a callosal waste of time going there. I just got the sense that the staff just did not care. And the BILLING PROBLEMS were awful.

Trying to get a refill on a prescription for some cream for a burn. I first called Rockville Internal Medicine Group just after hours on Friday, and reached out to my pharmacy which put in a request with the doctor for a refill. I called again Monday and was told the doctor won't be in until Tuesday. I called Tuesday and received blowback when I expressed that I am working too hard to get my prescription refilled and that I need the doctor to be more proactive and cooperative. I was told that Rockville Internal Medicine Group allows itself 3-7 days turnaround for prescription requests. That seems too long and without justification to me. They could officially reserve 45 days if they wanted to, it doesn't make it reasonable or helpful.

Dr Gajadeera is my mother primary care doctor. After seeing how he interacted with my mother , and his professional bedside manner along with him being very attentive to her and her situation. I decided to make him my primary care doctor also. He has excellent communication skills very knowledgeable. Also he’s not one of those doctors just pushing medicine on you and not listening to what you say . He’s very attentive, and caring very personable and friendly seems to have an interest and whatever your Medical situation is . Like you’re a family member of his . He’s exceptionally great an excellent doctor. I wish all doctors was like that.

I've been a patient at this practice for at least 5 years. So convenient and they give great care. I have a primary physician and have also visited the Gastrointestinal, Dermatology, and Sleep Study physicians. They have a walk-in clinic and virtual appointments for established patients that I have used many times. They also have x-rays and a lab on-site. I have never had a bad experience. Would enthusiastically recommend this practice.
