Faith was diligent and helpful throughout the entire process. I've been through this process many times and this was by far my most favorable experience.

The person we were working with at Cardinal dropped the ball somewhere in our process and put us almost 3 weeks past our original closing date. We could never get in contact even after leaving voicemails and emailing. We finally had to get someone we know who works there involved and then we were finally getting some information we asked for. Overall do not recommend. Find another company to work with.

I would not give this company a "1 star" but you have to give them something. Please notice all the other "1 star reviews". This firm caused me to suffer my credit rating being lowered due to their negligence in ensuring Equity Settlement Services, Inc. in Rockville, MD did not fund our credit card payoff as agreed upon in our loan agreement. The bank cancelled our credit cards due to this. They did not notify us they were going to be late. Once I called them it was a joke, the bank will receive it in 4-5 days and never did. I have never had one credit problem until we closed a loan with Cardinal Financial. HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU FIND A BETTER MORE VIABLE LOAN LENDER, this outfit is trouble.Example:David Z.6/22/2021OMG...my 30 day refi is now entering it's 6th monthThe good: Reps are friendly Bryan Sumardi, Melinda Cooper. That's it for the good. The who cares: Was told the same lie as all the other...

As previously reported by the others, stay away from this company. The refinance process is awful. Lack of communication, lengthy closing and undisclosed fees. I'm now entering 90 days into the refinance process and still unsuccessful. My initial settlement was scheduled two weeks ago, but the documents were inaccurate. I have now been waiting two weeks just for them to fix documents. The entire team is completely incompetent. I would never recommend.

OMG...my 30 day refi is now entering it's 6th monthThe good: Reps are friendly Bryan Sumardi, Melinda Cooper. That's it for the good. The who cares: Was told the same lie as all the other reviewers that they would retain ownership and service loan. If this does ever close don't really care who debits my account once a month.Onto the ProcessStarts off like all other lenders, upload every financial document you have from the past 12 months: paystubs, mortgage statements, proof of homeowners insurance etc etc etc. The Octane portal works very well. Too well in fact because it gives a false sense of confidence by posting closing dates. Those dates come and go (I think I'm on my 6th or 7th anticipated closing date) which would be understandable if customer is not uploading documents timely. What is frustrating is if you keep up with your "to-do's" they should be able to keep up with their side...but they don't...it goes into the black hole of "underwriting" and disappears for a few weeks....upon re-entry from the black hole, consumer's have more to-do's because now last months mortgage & bank statements / paystubs are now stale. This endless loop has gone for five and a half months. Rinse, lather, repeat. Then every other month you get a call from Core Logic, their independent 3rd party who needs you to go on a conference call with the mortgage holders, to you guessed it, verify the most recent payments that are on the same monthly statements they keep requesting. That's a nice 30 minute call after playing phone tag a few times. This doesn't even get into what some of the other reviewers have touched on with the on again, off again need for a home appraisal.Like everyone else, only sticking with them because I don't want to start over with someone else especially with rates rising. STAY AWAY just call one of the big boxes you stayed away from because you thought you would be keeping it local and getting personalized service. NOT.
