About Countryside Kennels
Countryside Kennels is a pet service located on over 6 acres of farmland in northern Calvert County. They offer daycare, boarding, and grooming for both dogs and cats. With additional services like pickup and delivery, a swimming pool, playtimes, and moonlit walks, pets have plenty of activities to enjoy. Many customers appreciate the clean environment and the caring staff, who treat pets as if they were their own. Visitors have praised the helpful and accommodating staff, especially during drop-off and pickup, and the personalized report cards given to dogs after their stay. Dogs that visit often get to play, socialize, and come home nice and tired, which is especially appreciated by professional dog trainers. However, some concerns have been raised about extra charges for older dogs, with reports of additional fees for pets over 10 years old, which some feel are unfair or discriminatory. There have also been comments about the swimming pool being unnecessary for older dogs that do not swim, and some find the costs to be high for basic care like feeding and letting dogs out. Despite these mixed reviews, Countryside Kennels remains a popular choice for pet owners who want a home-like atmosphere and quality care while they are away. Many travel long distances to ensure their pets receive attentive and loving treatment.

Since he is a husky and doesn’t do well outside in the summer for long periods of time, I shared my concerns with the staff and they ensured me that they worked with “winter breeds” before and completely understand the risks and know the signs of heat stroke. Additionally, I had questions beyond what was listed on the website and they were able to clear everything up with a phone call. I think my dog ended up having more fun here than he would have had at home and we will definitely be returning...read full review
Nice that they post photos of the dogs on the Facebook page so you could see the dogs playing/ swimming.
You guys charged me and my family an extra twenty dollars for two of my dogs because they are old. “Any dog over 10 requires extra care.” My dogs do not need extra care especially extra care that’s only ten dollars. You’re being ageist against my dogs and discriminative. My dogs also don’t know how to swim due to their age so there’s no point in a pool. On top of that it was expensive for no reason all I need you to do is feed my dogs and let them out. I don’t not recommend staying here.
