Flooring near Mount Airy

“Not many options for flooring services in Mount Airy, so I went to the closest one to me first. Bad call… they were overpriced, not friendly, and didn't follow up with a return call as promised. Then I found United Carpet. I have gone back to them for several special order and custom needs and not only have they’ve been fairly priced but also “under promised /over delivered” every single time. They made custom runners, front door mats, circular bound rugs, installed a runner up two flights of stairs, and are now carpeting my entire second floor as a result. My only regret is that I don’t have any more rooms for them to do.“

“We had our master bathroom and powder room remodeled by Blackstone Kitchen & Bath at the same time, and we are delighted with the results for both. Both designs were done by Khalid. He took the time to answer our questions, and help us select items from the showroom that incorporated our tastes while being mindful of our budget. He was also willing to send us some 3D renderings to look at before putting any money down. Our production team consisted of Eko (project manager) and Ernesto (contractor). Ernesto was skillful and efficient in all stages of the remodeling work. Eko kept us apprised of each step for both projects as it became necessary to pivot from the initial plan (see below). However, he kept the projects moving forward, readily answered all our questions and explained what needed to be done when we encountered the issue of the floor not being level. He also took the time to find the grout we wanted, which required driving around to several different locations to find it.

We had a few critiques of the remodeling process: the vanities did take some time to come in (~ 4 weeks); early on it was discovered that one of the vanities was ordered in the wrong color so a replacement was needed, but it took another 4 weeks for it to come in; the shelving unit in the linen closet was on backorder, and it was initially difficult to pin down an exact date of delivery.
Because of the logistics issues, it took a little longer to complete the remodel, and we needed to be proactive with following up to make sure we knew when items were being delivered.

Overall, we are very pleased with the bathrooms and found the staff at Blackstone Kitchen & Bath conscientious, flexible and pleasant to work with.“

“Mario and his team did an excellent job repairing my deck! They replaced the floor boards, built a new railing and stairs. Mario was very prompt, responsive, professional, and kind throughout the entire process. He immediately responded to any questions along the way, adjusted our plans as needed, and was so flexible. The deck is solid, looks better than the original, and the sealant they applied later has performed beautifully in this month's rain (he cleaned and sealed my existing fence, too!). Mario was able to start the project sooner than expected and they finished within the projected timeline, even working closely with me to coordinate additional work around other contractors I had in the following week. I can't wait to enjoy this deck for years to come. Working with Mario was such a pleasure and I hope to have him do more to beautify my home in the future.“
