“I used The Deck and Fence Company to design and build a deck for my home in September. My experience with the company from beginning to end was outstanding. My salesman, Mark Roberts, was very professional and very personable. We hit it off very well personally, so that led to a good working relationship. He was very knowledgeable in issues with deck building, and he was able to bring to life what I had visualized on paper, and also addressing unique safety concerns with my backyard, which drops into a very steep slope after about 10 feet. We were able to work some cost savings into the design so that I could stay within budget (even though I did go slightly over). I had other quotes, but TD&FC came in pretty cost competitive for I wanted. Getting the permit and getting on the schedule was the longest part of the process, but once the team came to work, THEY CAME TO WORK. They arrived very early and stayed late each day, and were able to complete the project within 4 days. They did a quality job with the build and it passed inspection easily. The one thing I’d tell folks to be prepared for is the amount of dirt that comes from the holes for the footings. A lot of it was left underneath the deck and not removed, but in fairness this was a loose end I did not tie up in negotiation. This may be something to discuss before the project so that expectations are met. Not all of it is used as backfill, and in my case, it is very heavy red clay, which I am going to spend some time in the spring doing a little better cleanup. But overall, I am very happy with the process and the build. Can’t wait for warm weather!“

Fast forward to Mar 2024 and I decided to replace all the wood during a backyard remodeling for a new pool. I love it!! The two tone color matches my stone work, perfectly, and avoids a wall of blinding white. The aluminum balusters and fence are a great accent. The crew were also a great group to work with, very respectful of my property. When they checked in about I liked everything, I mentioned I didn't like the set up of one of the locks.
