“Let me tell you how amazing Vanessa is... she's been our regular sitter for our 2 dogs and cat for well over a year now. I am "that" dog mom with a binder of info, special feeding instructions, and a zillion daily questions. With Vanessa, I don't worry about our babies. I truly don't. The things that I'd worry about are things that she's handled swiftly, compassionately, and like a true professional. Here are just some of the above-and-beyond things that she's done for us -Example 1 - For our very first week-long trip away during which Vanessa was doing overnights + daycare transport, one of our girls showed symptoms of kennel cough/URI. Vanessa took her to our vet for us, kept us updated every step of the way, and administered all of her medications. More importantly, our girls couldn't go to daycare as planned due to the illness, so Vanessa altered her entire schedule for the week to add multiple daytime check-ins to the overnight stays. She was so calm and reassuring throughout everything.Example 2 - Our girls have irritable bowels, so food and treats are restricted to prevent tummy troubles. I don't ever want Vanessa to have to clean up diarrhea, but she's done so with such grace and without even an ounce of anger about doing it. She lets us know when there's an accident and she has a priceless ability to gauge whether changes in our babies' behavior is normal or not.Example 3 - We are a military family. We make plans, and then the military thwarts them. If the military doesn't thwart them, then life in general does. The level of flexibility that Vanessa has is second to none. I would hate me as a client with all of our changing plans, but she's never once made me feel bad for it, and I am so thankful to her for this.I highly recommend Critter Sitters of Southern Maryland. I fully trust them with my furry children and our home (which is always clean and tidy when we get home) while we're away. I never feel like their services are transactional - I genuinely feel like Vanessa cares for my hellions just like I would. My absolute favorite thing about her is that she manages to always send pictures or an update at the very moment when I'm really missing them. She's amazing. Thank you so much for making it possible for us to take trips and visit family knowing that our kids are loved and safe.”
