I found Imani on Instagram back in 2018, while looking for artists that specialized in fine line, black skin, and adding color to black skin. I loved working with her so much and her aptitude and knowledge of black skin, tradition, and appreciation, that I dedicated my entire body to her, other than the original leg work I was seeking to have done. I have moved locations/states and been through many life changes, but what has remained consistent and even improved drastically is Imani’s work and speed. Where do I even begin? I was very anxious to meet Imani of Little INKPLAY Shop because I'm just an anxious person. They put me at ease immediately and we vibed off of energy to determine what my reclamation piece would be. We had initial expectations that I'd be able to get things done before my wedding but then Imani helped me keep my expectations real in that the time crunch wasn't great. So we waited until after my wedding and got to work.

This was my first time tattoo so I don't have too much experience but for my first time it was an amazing experience and the art was beautiful. Also, I deal with a lot of anxiety and Imani was able to calm me and make me feel comfortable. I had some abstract ideas and Imani came up with a perfect piece of art exactly what I imagined. I won't say it wasn't painful it's a tattoo after all, but I did feel very restored and more self confident after getting it. I really understand what the power of tattoos are and it's a really cool piece of art too.
