Sapphire was one of my favorite underground spots in the dmv!! So sad they closed.. really hoping they open up in a new location, arun let me know something !

My wife and I showed up at 9:45pm, and sat outside at a table. This was 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. A server came out and cleaned the table next to us. She did not recognize us. No contact even though she saw us. Ten minutes later I went inside and asked if there was a server covering outside because we wanted to get drinks and dinner. The bartender lady looked confused and asked why we were there. I told her my wife and I wanted to get dinner and drinks. She looked apologetic and said the kitchen closed at 10pm. I said it's not ten yet and we were there waiting for a server for 15 minutes. She wrinkled her face and said sorry they had already closed the kitchen. My overall impression was that the staff at this restaurant didn't care about customer service. I was sooooooooo disappointed with the lack of customer service. This is my very first yelp review. I added the app just so I could warn other people not to visit this restaurant if they were expecting to have a pleasant experience. I went on their website to contact them privately and it didn't work. So if the website doesn't work that means management doesn't care either. Please please please do not waste your time going to this establishment. Nobody should be as disappointed and disgusted as I am right now. Sincerely, Ronald Webster

This is a nice lounge in Laurel we stumbled upon on a Sunday afternoon. We had ordered Indian food from the kitchen online (which was tasty) and decided to go in when our car was being repaired close by. It may look a little dated when you walk in, but the bartender (who was super nice and helpful) threw on some nice afrobeat music and it picked up for us after then. There's also some pool tables that work with quarters, and we used them for a while. I tried the Sapphire mai tai, which was fruity and I'd recommend for those that like a little sweetness in their cocktail. The crab dip with naan was also really good, and a nice portion as well! The naan was so soft and warm and went well with the crab dip. There are so many food options, so you'd have a pick of Indian, Thai, and American cuisine. Before we left we also tried the beef drunken noodles, which I'd say was good but not the best I've ever had. I had a slight preference for the Indian food we had there so would definitely try it again either online or by coming into the lounge.

Good food and good price. Love the garlic naan and chicken tikka masala. Got karahi was good as well and the portions are good for the price. Not a place to sit down and eat though as you have to go in from the bar entrance to pick up but good food, fast and friendly service.

So tasty. I am super picky and also have had Indian cuisine and making North India cuisine at home for 20 plus years. This was so good and hit the spot. Quite pleased.

The owner of the place is such an a****** and also is one the reasons why other business es were fine during the pandemic shut downs and reopening reporting them all he's a snake as well

Recently visited with my mother - first time since the pandemic started two years ago. Staff was very hospitable as we waited for our lamb orders. The food was delicious - very flavorful and fresh.

If that will be first Indian restaurant we will never try Indian food again. Don't know if chicken cooked like that on purpose but taste was awful. Rice feels burned, maybe that's a secret recipe, but we didn't liked it. We decided to try a dessert, it's weird, not bad, canned fruits in condensed milk, not a go to dessert. Service was good, place stays clean, prices are okay if food was cooked as it should.
