In response to Karla’s response and salon credit… It's interesting how she can respond in less than an hour when a review is posted. I went for a whole week without no response of a date when she would refund the money. The salon credit is not what she agreed upon or resolving the situation, and I believe to be a fake response from her in which she would never honor. I want my money refunded. I do not wish to further patronize your salon. Believe you reap what you sow and your will never prosper off of wrongful doingings...it will come back to you...so be prepared.

I contacted Karla to inquire about the tape in extension removal and reinstall. Seeing as I’m a first time customer, I wanted to make sure that I booked the right services based on HER guidelines. I’m asking her questions, trying to clarify, and she immediately starts to give me an attitude. I ask her what’s the need for the attitude. All I’m doing is asking questions. She then calls me (I’m not really sure why), to which I don’t answer, since I am preoccupied. Because I couldn’t pick up her ONE phone call, she decides to cancel both of my appointments. For NO REASON. Phone call was made at 2:01 PM and appointment was swiftly canceled by 2:04 PM. I wasn’t rude to her. I didn’t ask her for anything outside of what a client would ask a stylist. It’s a shame because I enjoyed my first experience with her so much that I recommended 2 people to her. I will be asking them to cancel their appointments based on this incredibly unwarranted conversation. I’m not sure if Ms. Karla was just having a bad day but such reactionary behavior/responses won’t get or keep you any customers.

I found Karla online. After having a terrible experience with my prior stylist of 15 years, I was both nervous but eager for a fresh start. Went on Monday and got the Great Silk Press treatment and a trim. I walked out having paid almost $300 by the time it was all said and done, but I was happy. Because I had never had my hair done this way EVER, and because I did not want to mess it up, I had a lot of questions regarding the upkeep. Well. I guess there was no sensitivity or understanding, because the more questions I had after leaving, the more frustrated Karla became. She started blocking my phone number and only responding through social media. And when she did respond, urged me to trust her process and her products. I decided to do that. Today, I was simply curious about a new serum and because Karla was my new stylist, I wanted to consult with her prior to using it. I could not get through to her cell, so I sent her a message on IG asking if she had an alternate phone number..mind you all I wanted to do was show her this hair serum to get the "okay" to use.
So in response to my question about a phone number. She messaged me that I am unhappy with my hair and it would be better for the both of us if I found another stylist. I then received a cancellation for my already booked appointment...and even worse...she canceled my poor mother's appointment, that was scheduled TOMORROW, who was so excited for a fresh start like I was, and who actually canceled with her stylist in order to try Karla. My mother who has health issues was going to drive over an hour to see Karla. And because she felt some type of way about me nervously asking questions about maintaining my hair..something that was NEW to me. She without warning cancelled my mother's appointment.
I have never felt so douped by someone in a professional business. While her portfolio looks great, her patience and professionalism are not good. If you do go to Karla...make sure you sit there, be quiet, and don't ask any questions after you walk out that door.
Such a sad sad thing...she's talented too. Oh well.

I am taking the time to write this review to inform potential customers to BE AWARE of the UNETHICAL business practice that took place while patronizing Hazel Amour hair salon. I prepaid (which she stated is her standard practice) $460 dollars for tape ins (hair extensions) in advance for my future install appointment. After leaving the salon, I texted Karla (the only form of communication to her) that I no longer wanted the tape ins and would like a refund. It was only a couple of hours on the same day I prepaid that I requested the refund. I even asked if she had placed the order for the tape ins and she stated that she had not placed the order yet. Karla texted back if I was sure, and I said yes, I no longer wanted the tape ins. So, there was a clear understanding that I no longer wanted the tape ins and was requesting a refund. Karla said she would refund my money, but she normally does not give refunds and does not think she can refund (Zelle) back my money, however, since I wanted to be a returning customer, she would make the exception. Make the exception? Why is refunding a customer's money for a product and service that was not rendered is an exception? Then a couple of hours later, I received a text stating that she will be cancelling all my future appointments after she refunds my money. I texted her asking if she could provide a date for my refund. Karla rudely text back that she did not have a date and that she would keep me posted. She had missed canceling one of my future appointment, so I texted her to cancel that appointment so I would not be charge for a 50% cancellation fee she has in her policy. She rudely texted me back to stop texting her. How else am I to communicate?! This is how her business communication notifications and requests are set up. At this point, she was clearly irritated that I was requesting a refund. It has now been over 7 business days and Karla has not refunded my money, nor has she given a date for refund. And at this point, I do not believe she has any plans of refunding my money. Karla completely took advantage of me by taking my money! I have no recourse of getting my money back because I Zelled her the money trying to do the kind thing of paying her a generous tip which some of that money would have gone to the outrageous credit card fee she has for credit card payment. She should feel ashamed of how she is running her business! I just want future customers to know of her unethical business practices and to think twice about patronizing her business!!! I know I will be telling everyone I know to stay clear! BTW - The rating should be zero stars but I cannot post without rating with one star.

You get private sessions, great vibes, no wait, good conversation, healthy hair, perfectly executed styles with reasonable prices. That’s alllllllllllllll you been looking for I know. Look no more, visit Karla at Hazel Amour Beauty Salon and get The Great Hair Treatment. Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed. I had silky hair for nearly 2 months with no upkeep because I’m lol! The salon was bright and clean. Karla did a beautiful job on my silk press. Didn't use too much heat, was prompt, and worked quickly. She was very sweet and knowledgeable and recommended products and services for future appointments. I left with a gorgeous silk press full of body and bounce...in less than 2 hours. I would definitely recommend her.

Karla is amazing! I went to her on my worst hair day and I came out looking like a new person! Amazing color every time, gives me exactly what I asked for. Perfect cut and I can never leave without her straightening my hair because it's just that great. Love her, highly recommend!!!!!

I really love my hair. having moved her recently, I was nervous about finding a natural hair dresser but I love Hazel Amour Studio. She did her thing and is very knowledgeable. Book her she is just that good @ Hazel Amour Studio.
