CVCA (Gaithersburg location) is a premier location for cardiac care for dogs and cats. They are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. They have the staff, faciilities and diagnostic equipment to provide thorough evaluations and recommended care for your dog or cat. Additionally, I found they are sensitive and understanding of the concerns and support of the owners. In particular, Lead Doctor Cain and Dr. Bartling provided me with the time, information and follow through necessary to save my dog who has a serious heart and respiratory condition. All of my visits here with my cat, Jem, have been positive experiences, including our recent and first- time visit with Dr. Dan Stern. The staff are so kind, compassionate and supportive and they are wonderful with Jem. Dr. Stern, as has Dr. Cain in our past visits, took the time to explain in detail his diagnostic findings, propose the best treatment options for Jem, and address all of my concerns and questions. Dr. Cain is excellent. I have entrusted the cardiac care of both my cats to him and the CVCA support staff. He explains everything, answers our questions and works with us to give options when certain treatments don't work. I highly recommend him.
