Edit: it's now 2023, and I just had such a sour experience with another eye doctor, that I felt like these people deserve a better star rating. It's been a while since I've been here, since I don't live close enough to this place anymore, but based on my old review, while these people aren't probably saints (I mean who is? We're all more or less terrible in our own little ways) but the experience I remember having wasn't half as bad as the experience I've been getting recently at other eye examination businesses. If I lived close enough, I would have been willing to give them another try and possibly bring up the rating even more if the appointment went well.Old review...read full review

Just noticed I had an eye problem Thursday afternoon. Called at 4:30 on Thursday when their schedule says they are open until 5PM and got a recording twice. Their web page (despite what the recording says) does not have office hours. Friday they do not open until 12 noon.

Dr. King is very thorough. We appreciate all of the time she puts into our exams and explaining issues. We just got our explanation of benefits back from the insurance and realized insurance only pays $37.50 for this thorough exam! Yes, the frames she stocks are expensive but with such low reimbursement on her exams, she needs to recoup her cost somewhere. Despite that, there is no pressure to purchase glasses there. Further, we were offered to pay OOP $50 each to avoid drops and use their special camera but again there was no pressure to do so. We opted out.
