I had no idea purchasing replacement windows would be so difficult and expensive! It is impossible to compare windows between companies since each one has a different name and specs for their window. So, that leaves you with having to trust your salesperson. From the first minute we met Matt Dawson (owner), we knew he genuinely wanted us to be happy with our purchase. He brought out small window samples so we could see how they worked and looked against our home. Everyone on the team was very friendly and knowledgeable. While I did end up paying a bit more than I had hoped to replace my slider, Matt was very transparent about pricing and quality of options from the get-go (unfortunately there simply weren't many affordable options for the exact type of slider replacement I needed) and great about answering my questions, both in-person and later via email...I definitely don't feel like I was pushed into paying a higher price. Chesapeake Thermal was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Sales was informative, not pushy. Pricing was good. We had the house’s original windows from 1969, and the installation team was impressively skilled at getting them out and the new ones in. There was a little issue with something missing, but the owner ran to get the piece and it didn’t disrupt the installation at all. All done in one day, including clean up. Love the new windows!—especially being able to open them without breaking my wrists like our previous old windows.
