“03/05/2025- I attended a burial for a dear friend. I had seen this cemetery but never really thought about it. The service was in the chapel area around 10:30 am, the flag was given to the son, there were a small number of family and friends in attendance. The casket was then rolled out towards the burial grounds. No horns were played. No military processional. No lowering of the casket into the ground. It’s was cold outside and it felt sad. “I’ll Miss you , my buddy”. His eye is on the sparrow. R.I.P., Clarence “Pete” Hicks( nickname EZY Smooth, bass player and band leader of the Legendary Smooth Band-DC. * Thank you for your service.“

“Our Mom passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026. We wanted to have her funeral on Friday, March 20, but almost every funeral home in the Mechanicsville, La Plata, Waldorf area said we would have to wait for 2 weeks, which would not have worked out for us because of time constraints with our beloved Priest being available to perform the funeral mass, and it would have been held on the same day that my son passed away, 17 years ago, which I didn't want. Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, P A., in Waldorf, Maryland came to our rescue. Mr. Tonic and his staff were wonderful! He was accommodating, compassionate, and respectful. He said he might have to rearrange his schedule but he would make it happen for us. His staff treated our Mom with dignity and respect. He gave us a preview of our Mom after they prepared her so if we didn't like how they did her hair and makeup, his staff would make any corrections or changes. They made our Mom look so pretty. Mr. Tonic, Atlantis, and his staff that supported The Frances Ricco funeral, were absolutely wonderful and we highly recommend them. Thank you so much!“

“Hello my mom transition on February 21,2026, and during that time trying to get/ and or making arrangements going from one funeral home to another those business or people was just rude no compassion for the client but when (we entered here a Family type atmosphere welcome you at the door not business) Mrs/Ms Joanne statement was welcome take your time we got all day how may we serve you. Now that's love ❤️. From that point we made our decision not one time was money discusse.only how they needed us to know that my mom will be taking care. They handle everything and I do mean everything. Doing your time like this we highly recommend this location. It might be a business to someone but after you leave you can rest of sure that you have been with Family.
