I have been going to this Obgyn for years. Had a bad experience as of late. If you are not pregnant or plan to have kids immediately do not recommend coming here. The lack of care from the staff I recently received was bothersome. The running around I had to do for tests to see what was going on to my body was ridiculous with NO follow up. There was no discussion about sending me to an outpatient office to do testing which hit my insurance and for a service my insurance pays for but it being outpatient hit my deductible. After another very bad experience this week in the GW Bethesda office, I tried to call the "Patient Experience' (see reply to my last post). The third time I called, I finally had a person on the phone and my experience just continued to be bad. There was no interest of helping out or trying to offer a better service. An incident report was written and is supposed to be handed to management. Our question if we could re-schedule an appt next week was not resolved. Once again: The medical service (midwifes and ultrasound personal) is great, but the overall service, especially the customer service personal is just TERRIBLE!! It gives every visit a bad taste.

I was excited about becoming a new patient at the GW Midwives. Unfortunately, the front office was so unbelievably incompetent that I will be finding a different practice. I've included the details below in case the office staff would like to look into this (I tried sharing this feedback directly and they never called me back) but the bottom line is: scheduling a simple new patient appointment involved a dozen phone calls, two cancellations on the GW end, and five months with absolutely nothing to show for it.
