Lid switch on the washing machine broke. Alco came recommended by another resident of my condo building. Called and left a voicemail (they answer the phone from 9-12). For a call back the next day as promised. Appt set for the next week (they had earlier ones, I set one that was convenient for us). John ran a bit late but called us and let us know. When he arrived, he had the part we needed and did a speedy and clean job. He respected our home. He was incredibly knowledgeable about our Whirlpool Thin Twin Stackable. He was kind. Incredibly fairly priced. Much appreciated!
Repair of my 30-year old Whirlpool electric stove was scheduled within a few days of my call, repairman showed up on time and quickly installed the new part that was needed. And the price was right! Minimum labor charge + low cost for the baking element (Whirlpool quoted a price of $121, Alco charged only $34 for the part). In addition, when I called after the repair was completed and I noticed the stove was no longer flush with my countertop, the repairman showed up again the next day on time to push the stove back against the wall. Great service!!
I had a problem with my washing machine. I tried to replace it with a stacked washer/dryer unit of the same size. It did not fit because my closet configuration is for side venting. Machines today back vent. I would have had to go with a much smaller unit if I had stuck with the replacement option. Thankfully, I turned to ALCO Appliance for repair. I could not be more pleased. In particular, I recommend John, the tech who repaired my machine. He is knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and friendly.
