I waited until the last possible moment—right before a big Maryland snowstorm—to fix something I’d ignored for months. My Stihl chainsaw was missing a muffler and sitting dead on my workbench.

I struck out at two Ace Hardware stores and finally stopped at Precision. The place was slammed—people lined up with snow blowers, phones ringing nonstop with generator questions—but they still took the time to help me.

They didn’t have the muffler on the shelf. Instead of sending me away, the guy behind the counter went out to their parts shed and pulled one off a parts saw that wasn’t worth fixing, just so I could get mine running before the storm.

I took my generator to Precision Small Engines Inc. at 9651 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740 to have some parts replaced after it was damaged during transport, and I could not be more satisfied with the experience.

I worked directly with Mark, and he saw me through every step of the process. He took the time to explain exactly what was wrong, what needed to be replaced, and why. His knowledge of the equipment was clear, and he explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, even for someone who is not an expert.

Good experience and fair price with a small shop.
Dropped off my mower with a Honda 160 engine that wouldn't run and was sluggish to pull. They got it cleaned up and running like it's brand new again. It took about 2 weeks to get looked at because of backlog but only a few days after they called with an estimate price. It cost about $150 to resurrect this mower, which is a very fair price. I'll be taking it here again for sure and recommend them to anyone. Support small businesses!
