I don’t usually write reviews, but this place is worth it. I was looking for a Korean barber and found Jaye. I went into Southdale Hairstylists & Esthetics just looking for a clean, simple haircut, and they delivered exactly that.

The staff were easygoing and not pushy at all, which I appreciated. The stylist actually listened to what I wanted (which doesn’t always happen) and gave some solid suggestions without overcomplicating things. End result was a clean, sharp cut that was easy to manage.

Place has a relaxed vibe, no pressure, and pricing is fair. If you’re a guy just looking for a dependable spot to get a good haircut without any hassle, this is a solid choice. I’ll be back for sure.

I had a really great experience at Southdale Hairstylists & Esthetics. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit comfortable from the moment I walked in. They really take the time to listen to what you want and make sure they understand your style before getting started.

My mom and I absolutely love Jaye! She cuts my mom’s hair regularly, she is always happy with the results. I recently got mine cut, highlights and a root touch up. I told her what I wanted and that’s exactly what I got. Jaye did fantastic - I love it and will continue going to her.

Usually I love going here, I’ve been going to Jaye for the last 3 years at Southdale. Their staff is always friendly and a great atmosphere. In the past, my hair cuts which are very basic, I don’t do any fancy stuff no colour no highlights. Just a straight up hair cut. Granted my hair is longer but again nothing special, a few layers and some thinning. But they are usually about $25-30 dollars, keeping in mind they do not wash your hair either, but this time Jaye charged me over $50 for my hair cut. This seems like a substantial increase and it deters me from going here again. Love the service but with that price I’ll be going elsewhere from here on out. So disappointing as I love to support our local shops.

Another great haircut and beautiful highlights from Gaylee, she’s the best! I’ve been coming here for a while now and I always have an amazing experience, everyone is super nice too.

Not even close to what I asked for. But especially rod and stylist were nice.
