My Samsung S24 Ultra is only about a year and a half old.

I updated to Android 15, continued to use it and then shut it off for the night.

The next morning when I tried to turn the phone on it would not start.

I tried every charger (including 65 watt) and charge cord in my house and the phone still would not start. No Samsung logo.
Nothing.
Tried every fix I could find on the internet. Button up. Button down. Buttons together. Nothing.
Some sites said they had a problem after an update.

Went to the provider. They tried all the bottons fixes. Nothing worked. Went to a cell phone repair store in Polo Park.
They tried a charger cord. Nothing. Said it would need a new charge port.
They tried a wireless charger. Nothing.

They said now it was multiple issues and would require the motherboard to be replaced. They said they didn't do motherboard replacements and if I sent it to Samsung to replace the motherboard I would probably lose all my data and photos.

Plus, I would still be paying my phone contract until February 2026 and then the $350 buy back fee.

I checked into data recovery but the costs were so astronomical that I had resigned myself to that loss.

Then I took my phone to Cell Fix Doctors.
I took my phone in at 11:00, paid only a $50 diagnostic fee (which if my phone had required more work would have been applied to the cost) and had an answer from them by 2:00 that same afternoon.

And...they solved the problem!

The issue had been caused by the update. Too much information for the processor to handle all at once.

I was lucky. It was a fairly simple fix - for them.

I would not have been able to do this on my own as they had to remove the back to charge the battery. They replaced the original back and restored it to IP68 protection condition.
