The physical building they're in is older and not the best presentation or easy access. There is a wheelchair ramp but it's very skinny and the landing at the top is small. Inside it's very utilitarian, kind of like being inside a huge white server rack. Maybe they feel comfortable that way? It's not bad but it's also very barebones warehouse type vibes. You can browse the shelves yourself or you can go to the counter and tell a clerk what you need and they'll get it for you way faster than you can find it. Ive been a customer of memory express for 23 years off an on. There has been some changes but overall I have had more good experiences then negative ones. I recently had one that started out negative, i believe miscommunication was what . They helped me to make sure I felt valued. My star rating however is based on my dealings with them average. To base it on my most recent visit would feel skewed and biased. They carry a variety of quality components, from various long established manufacturers, mid level and some newer companies. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I was visiting Winnipeg for a conference and took a fall that damaged my computer. I came here on the recommendation of a friend from the conference. The service I received was above and beyond anything I expected. The technician carefully inspected my computer and assessed the problem (a broken screen). He then looked for a screen that would match. As I was leaving for home before a screen that fit would come in, the technician put my computer back together and did not charge me anything. I am so grateful for their help. I will be visiting a Memory Express at home to have a screen ordered and replaced. I highly recommend this location to anyone with computer concerns.
