Nelson Dasilva and his crew, of Paul John and Son Roofing, did a first-rate job fixing several leaks in the roof caused by animals seeking warmth against the heavy snow. He responded quickly to a Sunday text when we discovered the leak. He came to the house first-thing Monday morning--by then the leak had temporarily stopped due to the cold temps--and the roof was repaired by Tuesday afternoon. This was not the first quick rescue in our history with him. Nelson did our entire roof five years ago and did a fabulous job. Paul John & Son put a new roof on our house in Winchester in May 2025. High quality work - roof looks great - job completed on time - reasonable cost - also good people. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Nelson and his team, especially for complex projects. We had a challenging situation involving a leak of our rubber roof located beneath our roof deck. The developers of our condo in Somerville (prior to us purchasing it) did not install the roof properly - with the flashing only extending to the edge of that room leading to the roof deck. Nelson’s team quickly identified the root cause and handled it flawlessly.
They carefully disassembled and preserved the deck, removed the damaged materials, and repaired the underlying sheathing. I was incredibly impressed by their attention to detail to ensure we wouldn’t have future leaks.... read full review
