We began with Elite Freestylekarate shortly after we moved here. We have been very happy with our decisions. Though I was initially put off with how speedily kids were moved along and the costs, I came to understand the necessity that given the commitment required, it is helpful to allow kids to see progress. I have seen my daughter begin to really master many of these skills as she progresses and in most classes there is always a point to stress the basics, that all the more advanced skills are built upon. We were introduced to Elite Freestyle Karate through a birthday party that our oldest attended. Fast forward 4 years and now both of our kids are enrolled in the youth classes and I have joined the adult class. The sensei's are really great at teaching to a variety of ages, fitness levels, and personalities. The "mat chats" each class that tie into daily life and behavior are very beneficial. There are different programs to meet the level of involvement/time families have. It's a great community and the benefits go well beyond the physical exercise.

I've been so impressed with how Sensei Sean, et al manage such diverse classes while ensuring each student knows s/he belongs. In fact all the senseis take the time to speak with the kids before or after class to get to know them. In this way they let them know that they'e cared for and welcome. What a wonderful gift. Maybe even the fabled "working alliance"?
