“EDIT: I am adding to my review of a year ago because we have hired Inka Construction Group for a couple of projects since and they have only risen in our esteem. Apologies in advance for the length.
1. Last spring we needed a creative solution to weatherproofing an antique attic door that would be acceptable to Mass Save, who was financing an insulation job, and also affordable to us. The Mass Save contractors had no clue but Nik got on it and solved the problem quickly and elegantly. Maria, who is probably the most responsive contractor/owner on the business side we've ever worked with in 30 years of home ownership, slotted him in fast. She always does whenever humanly possible. ??

2. My 95-year-old mom lives with us in our 200-year-old house and last month her bedroom ceiling was starting to collapse. My first thought was: call Inka. Maria told me that Nik does not do that kind of work but they'd find me someone that they've worked with themselves and trusted. She did it all: found someone, set up the appointment--and when the estimate came back higher than she thought was right she brought in someone else for us, who got going fast and did a good job at a good price. That is the kind of relationship a homeowner wants with a handyman/contractor, but almost never gets, in my experience. We felt (as always with Maria and Nik) cared for as well as confident the work would be done professionally and as discussed.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We could not speak more highly of Nik and Maria! Nik and his crew recently rebuilt/refinished some badly deteriorated areas on the deck and siding of our 200 year old house. They also repaired structural damage inside the exterior wall, replaced a leaky window, and left everything, inside and out, sturdy again and looking beautiful. Maria's organization, patience, and outstanding communication took the experience to the next level. Just great! (Oh, yeah--excellent value for the $$, too.)“
