King Shade and window were top notch. I had been researching and window replacements for over a year. What an overwhelming process! Finally went with Hervey Majestics (I wanted wood interior) and the crew at King was so helpful. Plus--their price was by far the best overall. I didn't want to go with some corporate behemoth and I'm so glad I didn't. This is a small, family run business that is capable of being human, not to mention their attention to detail. The installation (34 windows!) went seamlessly. My house is an old victorian with lots of old lead paint around the interior window facing boards which had to be removed in order to install the windows.... read full review

Very happy with my new windows, a year later!
Right before last winter we did about 30 windows (2 floors + a basement laundry room window with vent) and a storm door. Initially I went in to their showroom on Centre Street in West Roxbury and chatted with Mellissa about our needs — she knows windows well! She was very patient in explaining the different window models and why or why not we should go with one vs. another. I felt she was thinking of my needs throughout rather than trying to sell me the most expensive windows. George came in to measure. He was also very friendly and patient in sharing his expertise on whether we should replace... read full review

We had two custom storm doors installed, and the entire experience was excellent. George walked us through everything at the shop and came by just two days later to take measurements. The doors were made to order and installed quickly. The crew was efficient, professional, and did a fantastic job. Communication throughout the process was top-notch. Everything looks great, and I’d highly recommend King Shade & Window!
